Effy's Blog Challenge

Last Day!

Today is the last day of Effy Wild’s April Blogging challenge. While I didn’t do it every day, I posted way more than I have in a long time. It was such a pleasure to read blogs again and learn about other people. Facebook and Twitter feels like surface level learning about people. Blogging feels much more authentic and true. Effy will be hosting another blog along in September and if you were a past blogger or want to blog in the future, I hope you’ll join along.

We were supposed to go to see Chris Stapleton in June at an outside venue. We bought the tickets about six weeks ago. We were informed this morning that it’s being rescheduled to next summer. Bummer. One of the things I love about the new husband is that he is willing to go see all kinds of different music acts with me. I long for when we can start doing this again. I know it’s only postponed for a year, but it feels like such a long time. Hopefully by next year, we will have really gotten a handle on this pandemic and some of the parts of life that make it fun can start returning to some normalcy.

That being said, there is an immersive Van Gogh event coming to our area. Again, the new husband will go to this with me and was excited when I was describing it to him. I’ve signed up for an e-mail alert so I can get tickets when it becomes available. This looks like a unique experience where there’s narration that goes along with projected pictures. It takes about an hour to go through it. I can’t wait for tickets to come available here. Check it out to see if they are coming to your area.

I too plan to do the immersive van Gogh exhibit. In rescheduled concert news, a concert we were supposed to attend in March 2020, has now been rescheduled again, to April 2022!

I’ve kept blogging throughout the pandemic and it’s helped my state of mind to do so.

    1. What’s the link to your blog? I didn’t know you were still blogging!

The Van Gogh experience sounds great and it’s so cool that New Husband wants to do these things with you:)

    1. It is how it’s supposed to be in a relationship – doing things that the other enjoys, even if it may be out of your own comfort zone.
